There is a rich and long tradition to the international relations of the Faculty of Business and Economics.
English-language educational programs have been introduced for more than 25 years as a result of very close cooperation with Middlesex University London. We are proud to have been able to maintain strategic cooperation with Ohio University (USA) for nearly 30 years and the Fernuniversität Hagen (Germany) for 15 years, Capilano University and Victoria University (CAN) for more than 5 years. The educational programs jointly run with our strategic partners attract great interest among international and FBE students immensely strengthening the image of the Faculty as a thriving international institution.
Beyond regular exchange programs, we also cooperate with partners in introducing new, innovative teaching methods. Apart from encouraging professors and students to participate in exchange programs, the Faculty is devoted to the idea of internationalization at home and makes extra efforts to offer international experience for everybody on campus. Professional and summer programs and extra-curricular activities involving students and professors of our partner institutions enrich a vibrant international atmosphere on campus. Several recently developed joint modules bring the international environment home for participating students and teachers working together through video-conferencing while physically staying at their home institutions.
The VISITING SCHOLAR PROGRAM helps to enhance and develop institutional cooperations in more personalized ways by providing opportunity to exchange teaching staff with our overseas partner institutions. Thanks to the Visiting Scholar Program up to two professors spend a month on our campus and up to two of our faculty members can visit one of our partner institutions in North America. With the aim of broadening academic and methodological perspectives the Faculty organizes each year the International Teaching Week where we host and welcome colleagues from all over the world.
Intensive efforts towards internationalization on top of the institution’s traditions serve one main strategic goal – to become a truly international institution that attracts a great number of talented international students from all over the world by providing top quality business education.
We are proud to be able to offer full, "double-degree" programs in English at Bachelor and Master levels. The BSc Business Administration and Management and MA Enterprise Development and Entrepreneurship programs are validated by Middlesex University London (UK), thus students are awarded the degrees of both institutions.
The Faculty offers its students the opportunity to complete BSc and MSc degrees by taking part in programs run in cooperation with the Fernuniversität Hagen, Germany. Both programs are conducted in German and students receive their degrees from both institutions.
