Dr. Viktória Gerdesics

Viktória Gerdesics graduated in 2007 at Budapest Business School at Tourism and Hotel Management programme (English), received her marketing MSc degree in 2011 at University of Pécs Faculty of Business and Economics. She began her doctoral studies the same year in the Faculty’s Doctoral School of Regional Policy and Development, in 2014 got absolutorium, in 2017 received PhD degree. During her college and university studies she worked at several tourism enterprises, hotels and travel agencies in Pécs and Croatia, than worked with foreign affairs and international programmes at the University’s Faculty of Health Sciences. She is involved in teaching and research of the Faculty of Business and Economics from 2011 as a PhD-student, from 2015 as an assistant lecturer and from July 2018 as assistant professor at the Department of Marketing and Tourism. Her main research interest is combination of marketing and tourism, she worked with Croatia’ image by the time of the country’s EU-accession in her Dissertation. Her teaching portfolio covers areas of marketing, international business, brand strategy, place marketing, gastronomy, gastroculture and catering, at bachelor and master levels, in Hungarian and English.
