Valéria Pavluska is working as a senoir associate professor at the Marketing and Tourism Department. She graduated in economics from the University of Pécs Faculty of Business and Economics and received her postgraduate diploma in marketing expertise from Karl Marx University of Economics, Budapest. In 1988 she earned a university doctoral degree, in 2006 a PhD degree, both in economics. The year of her habilitation was 2016.
Her teaching career started in 1994 at the predecessor of the Faculty of Adult Education and Human Resources Development where she was teaching marketing, nonprofit management and marketing, cultural management and marketing and PR till 2008. Meanwhile she was working as a researcher and/or project leader in several european projects, such as RE-ETGACE, ADD-LIFE or DOLCETA (see details in CV). For eight years she was member of the steering committee, including two two year periods as Secretary General of EUCEN (European University Continuing Education Network).
Her main research fields are culture marketing (including education) and nonprofit management and marketing. Her monographic book „Culture Marketing” was published in 2014. As a faculty member currently she is teaching both on the BA and the MSc level, delivering courses such as marketing management, nonbusiness marketing, marketing of fashion industry, responsible consumption and psychology of commerce. Since 2012 she has been working at Sapientia University as a visiting professor. She has been participating in the developmental and educational work of the Institute of Public Education Management of the University of Szeged from the beginning of the program. She is also involved in different scientific and marketing research projects of the Faculty and the University. As a consultant she plays active role in community work too.
