Dr. Edit Gyarmatiné Bányai

Edit Bányai graduated in 1988 at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pécs (FBE
UP). She received her Doctor degree in Economics in 1995 at the same university. In 2005 she earned
a PhD in Economics at the Doctoral School of Business Administration at the FBE UP. She habilitated
in 2016. She is working as a senior associate professor in the Institute of Marketing and Tourism. Her
main research fields are social marketing and higher education marketing. Beside that she is
interested in personal and talent development and motivation of students. She is teaching currently
service marketing, online marketing, e-business, mentoring, communication skills on the bachelor,
master and PhD level. She has been involved as a participant or project leader in several market
research and consulting projects. She was the head of the International PhD Program Doctoral School
of Business Administration FBE between 2007-2014. Since 2014 she has been working as a leader of
Talent and Competence Development Centre at FBE UP.
